The turning point between nomadism and transhumance

This type of summer hut, due to its constructive simplicity, some authors argue that it is the oldest type and one of the turning points between nomadism and transhumance. There are no fences or private areas. Only a large area of common pasture and very simple constructions (corros or huts), circular in plan and covered with broom or false stone walls, often with tapinos (pieces of earth with grass). They are used as shelter only for “brañeiro” and perhaps for a calf or young animal.
