Filmed in black and white, it focuses on the elderly women of a rural area where oral traditions are endangered by emigration and changing values. In the midst of the Asturian mountains of Somiedo lies a place where time stands still, where the real and the fantastical coexist. Here, women preserve ancient songs, masked monsters dance under the moon, and numerous legends are told around the fire. A renowned musician (Raül Refree) decides to leave everything behind and travel there to record this legacy before it vanishes.
