La Corona del Auteiro opened its doors in 1999 as a rural tourism accommodation for rent by rooms, what in Asturias we call “Casa de Aldea de contratación individualizada”. It is located in Valle de Lago, where the road ends and where many hiking and mountain routes start, such as Lago del Valle, Lagos de Saliencia, Braña de Sousas, Peña Orniz, Picos Albos…

Our house has five fully equipped en-suite bedrooms with beech and mountain views, living room with fireplace, private outdoor corral and public parking area next door. We also offer our guests the possibility to participate in traditional activities related to livestock and agriculture such as grinding in the mill of our property, which is also the only working hydraulic mill of teito that remains in Somiedo, or be in contact with the domestic animals of the farm.

The accommodation at La Corona del Auteiro includes a complete homemade breakfast prepared with our own or local products, always taking into account the taste and dietary needs of our guests. We also offer the possibility to purchase snacks to take on excursions and spend the day in the mountains.
