1-“Walls of Somiedo”: El Vaḷḷe/Lake Valley

Starting in La Pola Somiedo (700 m), this climb gives access to one of the best known areas of Somiedo, El Vaḷḷe/ Valle del Lago and its famous glacial lake. It runs along a road with asphalt in good condition during its 7 km of length through which we will ascend to 1,205 m altitude, with an average gradient of 7.2%, in the vicinity of the village of El Vaḷḷe/ Valle del Lago, being able to continue for a couple of kilometers more to visit the village and L’Auteiru, the last inhabited center before the beginning of the well-known hiking route to Lago del Vaḷḷḷe (PR AS15_1).

It is worth mentioning its 6 horseshoe curves between the detour to the village of El Coutu and the village of Urria that, with slopes of up to 16%, will put our legs to the test and at the same time will amaze us with its spectacular views.
