2-“Somiedo Walls”: Perḷḷunes

Starting in La Pola Somiedo (715m), this route, which is really the result of linking two short and hard successive climbs, will take us to the hidden village of Perḷḷunes (1,085m), in the heart of the Somiedo Natural Park.

It is a 5.7 km route with an average gradient of 6.5%, which can be misleading as there is a 1 km downhill section with a negative gradient of 12.5%, which is divided into two climbs; the first one will be a very hard ascent to the Cuḷḷada de Aguinu or Alto de la Cuḷḷada that will test us with its 2 km length and slopes around 12% average and maximum of 20% and, the second part, after a descent of 1 km to the village of Aguinu, will take us to Perḷḷunes after overcoming a length of 2.6 km with slopes close to 10% with ramps of even 20%. It should be noted that this is a mountain road with the road surface in poor condition in much of the route, having to exercise extreme caution mainly in the descent from the top of the Cuḷḷada to the village of Aguinu.
